Dentures

When you need to replace all of your missing teeth, dentures offer the most affordable solution. Not only are they straightforward and economical, but modern denture designs even allow for implant stabilization, for a more secure and comfortable fit throughout the day.
Implant Supported Dentures
Stabilized dentures can come in different designs, including removable overdentures that attach to 2-4 implants, or permanent implant dentures that feature a hybrid, bridge-like design. Because they set directly on top of implants, there is no risk of slipping, sore spots, or premature bone wear that is often seen in long term denture wearers.
Traditional Full and Partial Denture Options
Conventional removable dentures can replace all of the teeth at one time or several teeth in a row, clasping into place around healthy teeth that are able to be retained. Partials are more streamlined in design, while full “plates” cover a larger surface area inside of your mouth.
Denture Care and Maintenance
One of the most common misconceptions that denture wearers have is that since they no longer have any natural teeth, they no longer need to see a dentist. Not so! Dentures require regular adjustments and relines to keep them fitting comfortably. And like other restorations, they can wear out over time and need to be replaced.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
- Remove your dentures nightly, to prevent premature bone loss
- Soak your prosthesis overnight in an appropriate cleanser
- Use a soft cloth or toothbrush to clean your gums twice daily
- If sore spots or thrush develops, schedule an exam
- See a dentist at least 1-2 times per year for adjustments and a soft tissue exam
